Darlington and Emmanuella

D and Emma were married a little over a week ago here in the USA but they had another wedding in Nigeria a year ago.  They are from neighboring communities, though Emma has been here for a long time in the USA.  Not that that all really matters but you'll notice from their outfits that there's a different culture involved here:)  They are Igbo from Nigeria.  This was my first Nigerian wedding so I really enjoyed it!  Of course, being the official wedding voyeur that I am (I even get paid to be at weddings...), I had so much fun watching and learning about all the customs in a Nigerian wedding.   I would love to photograph another!

Emma and D are really nice people (like all my clients of course!) and we had done their wedding photography during the day in their traditional white dress and tux outfits and then at the end of the night they came out in these clothes so I asked them if they wanted to do another shoot in their traditional wedding attire and they said yes.  I'm so glad!  I think these outfits are so beautiful!!!

Anyhow, I'm still a lover of the light at the end of the day and black and whites!  I also love the filters at the bottom of the series for the fun of playing with color.  I also love the natural moment caught in between me telling them to do things or simply walking together.   The photos with the columns I think are gorgeous and their outfits warrant a regal location.

The Murphey Family Christmas Fun! The Woodlands Family Photography, Christmas Portraits, Houston Family Portraiture

The Murpheys had me come to their home to create some portraits of them for their Christmas card this year.  Crystal had the cute idea of ordering matching pajamas for the photos and to have it be a fun collection of pictures unlike what you normally see on Christmas cards.  Ellie, Brett and Corbin were so cute and it is quite a challenge to get three children all looking in the same direction and in the same place even.  These are some of my favorites and I think they would look great as a collage on a card.  Fun Family Portraits!

Albums-The Woodlands and Houston, TX Wedding Photographer, Wedding albums, Boudoir albums, Family Albums

I use a company called Zookbinders for my albums. I've used several other companies and I love this company for a variety of reasons with the quality being at the top. The make a beautiful hand crafted album made in Illinois and now offer more modern finishes as well as this more "traditional" style. I love the way they look and after the whole process is done with the design they just look fabulous and are such a treat to get in the mail to hand off to my clients! These two albums are samples of what I just received to mail off to my clients! Below is the cover of one album in "Glove" leather.

The gilded edge of the page
The albums come wrapped in this nice cloth in a box to keep safe and in good condition
The spread of a 10x10 size album
The 1/8 inch gutter to allow the pages to fold without wear over time which you won't see in non gutter-less albums
